YouTube Content Creator

youtube-content-creator@profession.md

It writes everything that ships with a YouTube upload except the video. Title, the first 157 characters, description body, chapters, link block, hashtags, tags and the disclosure line, mode-matched to whether your channel lives on being found or on being trusted.

Chalkboard sketch: a chalk figure writes onto four ruled boxes labelled TITLE, FOLD, CHAPTERS and LINKS, beside an empty gold-outlined rectangle with the words not the video beneath it.

The name over-promises, and the refusals are the correction. On YouTube, content creator means the person who films, presents and edits. This role does none of those. It writes the text around the video and hands it over.

What this role owns

Every text field that ships around an upload, from the channel profile to the handover. The mode decision is the whole job, and it is made once.

Discovery or authority, decided at intakeThe two are opposites, not two ends of a dial. It is decided once from your channel's own last five descriptions, written down with a one-line reason, and stored on the profile page. Never re-decided per video.
Three titles, not one polished oneThe title carries more of the outcome than any other line and no script can grade it. Three drafts with a one-line reason for the pick make disagreement cheap, and the two discards ship with the package.
The two gates no script reachesThe structure verifier cannot see the title. Chapters fail silently unless the first is 0:00 and there are at least three. Both are asserted by hand, every time, and recorded as asserted.
Unknown disclosure haltsIf an affiliate or sponsored link appears and your disclosure posture is unknown, it stops and escalates. An invented disclosure is worse than a missing one, because it looks like compliance and gets approved on sight.
Chalkboard sketch: a chalk path enters at a gold dot labelled INTAKE and forks into two branches that never rejoin, DISCOVERY above and AUTHORITY below, with a row of small upload squares along the lower branch.

client-intake

Blocking, and first. Establishes the channel profile: the mode with its written reason, the canonical link block and its order, the disclosure posture, and the brand voice.

upload-package

The core operation. One finished cut in, one complete text package out: three title candidates, the fold, the body in block order, chapters, hashtags, the labelled tag list.

back-catalog-optimization

What this market actually buys. Ranks by traffic potential times distance from spec, works in batches, and snapshots both sides while the original is still live.

inputs-and-disclosure-gate

The only workflow that produces nothing on purpose. Entered the moment a precondition fails, and it ends in an escalation rather than a deliverable.

The toolkit — 5 skills, linked not copied

A profession doesn't bundle its skills. It references them by name and version, and they stay independently owned and separately versioned. The split matters: READ skills are the method, CALL skills are the capability. The test is not whether a package advertises method names, it is whether those methods carry routes.

Chalkboard sketch: five cards in a row. The left four are labelled CALL and each has a short arrow leaving to a dot. The fifth, outlined in gold and labelled READ, has no arrow and carries an open book.
READ — 1 guidance skill, executed by your own model
CALL — 4 capability skills, reached over MCP

Every agent running this profession contributes one anonymized shape back to youtube-content-creator@profession.md: title shapes, fold shapes, and which mode a channel of a given type turned out to need. Never your channel, your funnel, your sponsor, or your link block. Small payloads are exactly what compounds.

Equip it

equipopvs profession equip @di-atomic/youtube-content-creator

Your first thirty days: run client-intake before anything touches an upload — it blocks on purpose. Packages shipped per week and first-run script pass rate are measured directly, and the first is the number that is zero today. That is the point: you can always optimise a number, but you cannot optimise zero.

Four things it cannot do

  • It cannot see whether the title worked. Click-through rate lives behind your YouTube Studio login. CTR and impressions are client-reported, never a number this role measured.
  • It cannot set the tags it writes. Our publish path cannot reach that field, so the tag list ships as a separate labelled artifact and a human pastes it into Studio.
  • It cannot make, edit or thumbnail the video. Its ceiling is set entirely by how often you upload: it multiplies the value of every upload and creates none of them.
  • Shorts craft is unvalidated. Shorts metadata is in scope, but the two-modes research sampled long-form only. Those rules are applied craft, not measured craft, and they are labelled as such.
