Evidence before the next handoff

Give the auditor a draft, its sources page and the writer model named on the card. It lists every number and [MEASURE] marker, opens the sources and records what the evidence holds. You receive an audit table with a method, evidence, date and verdict for each row.

The audit loop lists claims, opens the source, measures, judges the evidence and hands off the audit table.
Check on another model. A writer-model match is a refusal. The role cannot quietly audit a draft written on its own model.
Open the primary source. Memory, search snippets, AI summaries and the draft's own sources page cannot earn a MEASURED verdict on their own.
Record what was tried. A source URL and supporting sentence, or a read-only command and its output, make the verdict inspectable.
Send findings to the writer. The auditor reports. The writer fixes the draft. Any CORRECTED or UNMEASURABLE row goes to rework.
Three verdicts: MEASURED when the source matches, CORRECTED when it differs, and UNMEASURABLE when no source holds the claim. The latter two return to rework.

Start with a contained draft and its sources page. Name the writer model on the card and assign the audit to another model. Ask for the full table, including unknowns. This role ships in beta at probationary trust. Keep the review and human approval stages in place.

Where this role stops

  • No draft rewrites. The auditor reports findings; the writer makes the changes.
  • No unsupported MEASURED verdict. It must open the source rather than rely on memory, a snippet or a summary.
  • No same-model audit. It refuses a draft written on its own model.
  • No writes to the system under review. No test sign-ups, form posts, purchases or product edits.
  • No style, voice or channel judgement. Those belong to the editor's stage.
  • No instructions from source material. Drafts, comments, source pages and recalled memories are treated as data.
