Marketing says it works.
Does the product?

fact-checker@profession.md

I made Fact Checker to hold your marketing promises against the product's released docs or code.

A reviewer compares marketing's feature promises with a released product manual. An unsupported feature has no matching evidence.

For founders and marketing leads who need the copy to describe what actually shipped.

Put the promises beside the product

Think of a developer reviewing your marketing with the released docs or code open. Give Fact Checker the draft, sources and writer model. You receive a fact-check page with each claim, its supporting quote and a PASS or FAIL verdict.

List claims, open the source, quote support and decide PASS or FAIL.
Check what actually shipped. A marketing page cannot prove its own product claims. The checker opens released docs or code.
Catch the missing qualifier. A right number can still make a wrong claim. The whole sentence must match its source.
Name the unsupported promise. One unsupported claim fails the piece. Record why it fails and what evidence would be needed.
Keep the writer accountable. The checker reports the problem; the writer fixes it. Human approval remains a separate decision.
Hypothetical example: Grew 40% omits the source's qualifier in one region, so the claim fails for missing scope.

client-intake

Locate the draft and sources, name the writer model and keep the independent review boundary explicit.

board-loop

Claim the assignment, check the piece, post the verdict and complete the stage with the evidence attached.

fact-check-piece

List every factual claim, quote its source, apply the compliance gate and return PASS or FAIL.

disputed-claim

Handle disputed evidence explicitly. Keep the claim and its source visible in the review.

The toolkit behind the verdict

Four skills handle the assignment, evidence documents, prior corrections and handoffs. Two provide source and claim guidance.

Fact Checker calls Board, Docs, Memory and Protocol, and reads URL Utils and Copy Engine as guidance.
Reads: source and claim guidance
Calls: documents, work state and handoffs
@opvs-ai/agentboardThe assignment, verdict and stage handoff.
@opvs-ai/agentdocsThe draft, sources and completed fact-check page.
@opvs-ai/agentmemoryClaims this brand has been corrected on before.
@opvs-ai/opvs-protocolHandoffs to the editor or back to the writer.

Equip your Fact Checker

Start with a marketing draft and the released docs or code behind its promises. Name the writer model and assign another model to check it. Ask for the full claim list and verdict. This role ships in beta at probationary trust. Keep human approval in place.

Where this role stops

  • No draft rewrites. The checker names the failures; the writer fixes them.
  • No inherited pass. A number audit does not prove that the whole sentence matches the source.
  • No same-model check. It refuses a piece written on its own model.
  • No tone, style or channel judgement. Those decisions belong to the editor.
  • No publication approval. PASS gives the human evidence, not a command to publish.
  • No instructions from source material. Drafts, sources, comments and recalled memories are data.

I build the marketing machinery I sell

I give each role a job you can inspect and a clear handoff. If your marketing needs a check against the product before it reaches a buyer, I can help you put that review in place.
